MAGOG, Quebec, March 11, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — The Magog-based company GoliathTech, a Canadian leader in manufacturing and installing helix screw piles, has announced a major North American expansion plan to be rolled out over the next 5 years, while setting its sights on Europe. Currently operating in 11 Canadian provinces and territories and 33 American states, GoliathTech’s network of certified installer/advisors is comprised of 204 franchises. In 2018 alone, the company completed more than 10,000 residential and commercial installations.
ACCELERATED EXPANSION
“In the coming year, our next expansion initiative aims to add more than 50 additional franchises and increase our turnover by 32%,” said Julian Reusing, CEO of GoliathTech, one of Canada’s fastest-growing companies in terms of franchise units across all sectors, from 0 in 2013 to 204 in 2018. The high-performance galvanized steel parts designed and delivered by GoliathTech are, among other things, used to support and protect residential foundations, houses, farm tents, terraces, patios, solariums, docks, cabanas, solar panels, swimming pools, wind turbines, street lights, terminals, and signs.
AIMING FOR 500 FRANCHISES, AND AN EYE TOWARDS EUROPE
The company is currently adding between 2 to 3 new franchise units per month. Over the last few years, GoliathTech received $3.9 million in investments to consolidate the existing franchises’ assets and prosperity, while expanding its network into more American cities and states. Between now and 2024, the company is aiming to have a total of 500 franchise units. On top of this strategic expansion, there is a desire to break into the European market: “Our level of expertise, quality, and innovation is world-class. We believe in our business activities’ tremendous potential, both in North America and in Europe. The relationships we have with our suppliers and the level at which we operate allows our teams to deliver unparalleled quality at the best possible price, which is a key asset for the consumer as well as our franchisees,” said Julian Reusing.
GOLIATHTECH: MEETS THE MOST STRINGENT INDUSTRY STANDARDS
Regarding this new national and international development strategy, Julian Reusing added that “this new step reinforces the relevance of our business model, which is rooted in expertise, a capacity to innovate, and a sterling reputation. We are particularly proud to have been offering solutions for 15 years that meet or exceed the quality standards of the Canadian Construction Materials Center (CCMC), the National Building Code (NBC), and the Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB). This is important, especially because certain competitors’ piles are plated as opposed to being 100% galvanized in order to reduce the price, which misleads consumers about their conformity and therefore their safety.”
NEW BUSINESS OFFERING: QUALIFIED ENGINEERS FOR PROJECT CERTIFICATION
As part of the effort to consolidate its offering, GoliathTech has announced that it will be integrating its engineering services into a new line of business that is billed separately. “We will continue to guarantee the quality of our work and materials at the estimate stage, applying the engineering seal of approval as required by law, but will charge for this service separately,” said Julian Reusing.
