Our History
GoliathTech was founded by David Bissonnette in 2004 in the Sherbrooke area. It was a local company for nine years before Julian Reusing acquired it in 2013, becoming the company's CEO. He then made it his mission to offer the best helical (screw) pile foundation solution on the market. Julian and his team invested in research and engineering and developed a helical pile with innovative proprietary technology that surpasses the highest industry standards.
With approximately 150 operating units in ten Canadian provinces, 33 American States and now Europe, GoliathTech is among the top five manufacturers and distributors of helical piles in the world.
2004
David Bissonnette founds the original company and grows the business within the city of Sherbrooke, Quebec. Being in a profitable industry, he operates the business for over 9 years and is successful in offering customers helical (screw) pile installations for their projects.
2011
After selling his share of the family business, Julian Reusing embarks on a quest for his next business success.
2013
Julian Reusing purchases "Goliath Helical Piles" and renames it to GoliathTech Inc. He becomes the CEO and invests in a new state of the art manufacturing facility along with research & development, engineering, and product certifications.
2018
GoliathTech has over 150 operating units with locations across 10 Canadian provinces and 33 American States.
2019
GoliathTech's helical (screw) pile foundation solutions enter the European market, marking the start of the company’s expansion outside North America.
2020
Entrepreneur magazine's Franchise 500® ranks GoliathTech for outstanding performance in areas such as company growth, financial strength and stability, and brand strength.
2021
GoliathTech's head office and manufacturing facility in Magog, Quebec, expands in order to meet growing demand.
